About HVAC in Colorado

Altitude and dry air change how cooling behaves in Colorado.

Thinner air carries less heat, which affects how equipment performs against its rating. Humidity is low, so the moisture removal that dominates cooling in the southeast is barely a factor here. And the swing between afternoon and night can be large enough that a house needs cooling and heating within the same twenty-four hours in spring and autumn.

What we do

• Cooling. Sized with altitude taken into account. Equipment derated for elevation performs differently from the same unit at sea level, and installers who ignore that leave homeowners with a system that never quite keeps up on the hottest afternoons.
• Heating. Long season, cold nights, and combustion equipment that needs proper venting and airflow checks. Pao Card treats the pre-season check as the point where problems are found, not January.
• Humidification. Dry air is a comfort and building issue here, not a luxury. It affects wood floors, furniture and how warm a room feels at a given temperature.
• Maintenance. Filters clog faster where dust is a constant, and a restricted filter costs efficiency in both directions.

How we work

Written pricing before work begins. Technicians who show you the failed part. Honest answers on repair versus replace, including when the system in place is fine and the real problem is airflow or insulation.
